Ahead of the January transfer window, Tottenham have been linked with Fiorentina and Serbia striker Dusan Vlahovic as newly appointed Antonio Conte looks to strengthen his squad.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Tottenham are one of the favourites to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic and have already held talks with the Italian club in London about a move. Despite north London rivals Arsenal being heavily linked with a move for the Serbian in recent days, the Lilywhites are simply not giving up in the pursuit for him as Antonio Conte begins to devise his list of transfer targets as they look to turn around their fortunes on the pitch.

Although Spurs might have successfully kept hold of Harry Kane at the club despite heavy interest from Manchester City this summer, there are growing concerns the striker may have fulfilled his time in north London and might again request to leave when he has two years left on his current deal.

Would Vlahovic be a good signing for Spurs?

Vlahovic, though, won’t come cheap, with reports in the summer claiming a Viola wanted around £77m for their man. However, given that his current contract expires next summer this means a smaller fee is more likely, although the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal will still need to stump up a fee within the region of around £35m to secure Vlahovic’s signature.
