Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to news surrounding a potential move for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessié.

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, who was speaking to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Spurs boss Antonio Conte appears to have personally identified the Ivorian as someone that he would like to bring to north London, noting that he “is one of Conte’s requests” and suggested that the most likely destination for Kessie should he move is indeed Spurs.

How many points did Tottenham gain in the following seasons? First up: 2020/21

The midfielder, valued at £49.5m on Transfermarkt, has scored 32 goals and provided 15 assists during his time at the San Siro, so could certainly add a boost to Spurs’ attacking threat in midfield, which could prove crucial as goals from that part of the pitch was something that Spurs weren’t too great at last season, with none of their midfielders reaching double figures for either goals or assists in 2020/21.

The news was relayed to fans via @Daily_Hotspur for them to react to, and it seemed as though there were plenty of them excited to see the news emerge:

“Him next to PEH I’m dreaming already”

“We’re cooking”
“BOOM!!!”
“Get in!!!”
“OKKKKKKKK”
“Kessie replacing Hojbjerg we are on our way back”
“He reminds me of dembele. If we get him it’s a massive step towards a tough midfield. A play maker, 2nd striker, a tough defender, we’ll be with a chance of a top 4 position. The Italian connect are going to change our club for the positive. Dare I say it PL winners next season”

It should be pointed out that Galetti did also state in his report that he was unsure if Tottenham’s offer “will satisfy” Kessie, but it certainly should be an interesting story to follow as January gets closer.
