Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to comments made by Dele Alli about former defender Serge Aurier, with some demanding a transfer for the English midfielder.

Aurier had his contract at the club terminated back at the end of August, where he has since gone on to join La Liga side Villarreal.

But by the looks of things, he and Alli seem to have remained friends even after he changed teams.

The former Spurs defender left a message on a recent photo of Alli on Instagram which simply said ‘Brody’ followed by a heart and shooting star emoji, to which Alli responded by saying ‘miss you’.

This back-and-forth was relayed to supporters by @thespursweb for them to react to, where fans used it as an opportunity to make their feelings known about the 25-year-old, with many suggesting that he should leave the club to go and re-join Aurier:

“You can join him if you want Dele”

“He can also leave”
“His Instagram fully rattles me”
“Both useless.”
“Follow him out the door then”
“You can join him there if you want Dele, I’ll give you a lift to the airport”
“Alli to Villarreal who says no?”

Will Dele Alli still be at Spurs after the January transfer market?

Alli’s future at the club has been brought into doubt before, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him under new boss Antonio Conte.

Given the fact that he’s not played a minute so far under the Italian, this may be a potential hint that he might not necessarily be in his plans, so these fans’ dreams might come true after all.

There are many more of us who want Dele to succeed at Spurs than don’t. ‘Succeed’ being the key word though.
He really needs to reinvent him self asap because Conte wont give him much more time I don’t think.

Absolutely hysterical reactions I have colleagues leave and I still have contact with them, normal behaviour
