A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the latest claim to emerge regarding the future of midfielder Harry Winks.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 25-year-old Spurs midfielder is now loving his life at the north London club with Antonio Conte now in charge of the Lilywhites.

The journalist said: “I can tell you that many players, for example, I want to take an example of another one, because it’s easy to mention top players like [Sergio] Reguilon, [Harry] Kane. But for example, Winks is a player that now is loving his Tottenham life with Antonio Conte, I’m told.”

This comes after a summer of speculation surrounding the midfielder, which has also led into the current season, with reports already linking him with a potential move away in January.

And Spurs fans flocked to Twitter as they shared their thoughts on the latest claim to emerge regarding the midfielder who has progressed from the Spurs youth setup.

What did these Spurs fans have to say about Harry Winks?

“We’re never gonna get rid of him are we”

“Oh please no, I beg”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOO”
“Of course he is. He knows he’s still robbing a living playing for us”
“We ain’t going nowhere with him”
“#conteout”

Winks has had a difficult time at his boyhood club over the last few seasons, however, there has been a recent glimmer of hope under Conte with 90 minutes in the weekend’s victory over Leeds United.

Despite the midfielder’s recent appearances, it is apparent these fans do not want to see Winks remain a Spurs player for much longer with the January transfer window creeping up.

And it is hardly surprising given Winks’ total contribution of four goals and five assists across his 181 appearances for the Lilywhites in all competitions (via Transfermarkt).
