Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter following the latest announcement to emerge from the north London club on Wednesday.

Following Antonio Conte’s appointment, it was revealed on Wednesday that Marco Savorani would make up the final piece of the Italian’s backroom staff as the first-team goalkeeping coach.

Savorani has recently departed Serie A side AS Roma after a seven-year spell with them and has previous experience of working with Conte during their time at Siena.

During his time with Roma, Savorani coached current Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who has previously said in an interview with Gazetta dello Sport: “In Italy I learned a lot thanks to Marco Savorani, who was crucial in helping both me and Wojciech Szczesny develop. He is one of the most important people in my life, he helped me on and off the pitch.”

Spurs fans flocked to Twitter as they shared their delight at the news to emerge with the experienced goalkeeping coach bouncing back into work with the Londoners.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Comes with extreme pedigree, an excellent appointment”

“Wwwww”
“Jose in the mud”
“The Conte Effect”
“O no Mourihno will not be happy”
“Best in the world – and people still think we are playing”
“The league ain’t ready for this”

The Italian arrives at Spurs with the Lilywhites having conceded 16 times in their opening 11 Premier League games, in which Hugo Lloris has been able to keep four clean sheets.

It is apparent these fans are delighted to see Savorani join their club and it is hardly surprising given the coach arrives with a wealth of experience and having left the side which Jose Mourinho joined following his sacking from Spurs.
