Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is in the best condition of his Spurs career in recent weeks, according to the sports science staff at the club.

Ever since his move from French outfit Lyon in the summer of 2019, with Tottenham paying in excess of £54m for the enigmatic French midfielder, he has struggled for form and consistency at the Lilywhites with his attitude and fitness issues plaguing his time in north London.

However, he has shown glimpses of his quality at times during his Spurs career, and manager Antonio Conte could finally be the man to see the best of Ndombele, with Gold reporting that the sports science staff at Spurs have been blown away by Ndombele’s physical condition. So much so, that they believe he is in the best condition he’s ever been in at the club.
