Ahead of the January transfer window, Tottenham have been delivered the latest update in their pursuit of Fiorentina and Serbia striker Dusan Vlahovic as Antonio Conte looks to improve his attacking options within his squad.

Spurs have long been linked with a move for the centre-forward in recent months, who is seen as one of the best young strikers in Europe after hitting 21 goals last season in Serie A.

However, according to journalist Daniele Longo (via The Spurs Web), Italian giants Juventus are the Lilywhites’ main rivals in the race to sign the Fiorentina striker who Italian football expert Conor Clancy has described as a ‘complete number nine’.

It is believed the Serbian striker is the number-one target for the new Spurs boss in January as the north London club look to bolster their attacking options.

After hearing that Juventus are Conte’s side main rivals in the race to sign Fiorentina striker, many Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to express their opinion:

What did these Spurs fans make of the transfer link?

“Chef Paratici getting this done”

@jpablo_171

“Do it Levy”

@thfclewis

“I think we can play son and vlahovic up top, with Kane in number 10 role”

“I swear Juventus is broke”

“Juventus will probably try and offer us the likes off Kulusevski and Mckennie so we stay away from Vlahovic”

@Ndombolo20

“People have to give credit to Paratici if we get this one. We beat the most successful team in Serie a when their number nine is Morata”

@akuan_faisal

This season, Vlahovic has been in superb form for Florentina, having already netted 10 goals in 13 appearances in the Serie A, so if Spurs can somehow tempt him to the Premier League, they could form an incredibly potent, deadly attacking trio of Harry Kane, Vlahovic and Son Heung-min.

Alternatively, the £45m-rated Fiorentina striker could be seen as a potential future replacement for Kane, who although Spurs may have successfully kept hold of despite heavy interest from Manchester City this summer, there are growing concerns the striker may have fulfilled his time in north London and might again request to leave when he has two years left on his current deal.
