Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts is sure that Antonio Conte would have been talking to the likes of Dusan Vlahovic, Milan Skriniar and Federico Chiesa about joining Spurs.

The Daily Star reported earlier on in the week that the new Tottenham Head Coach wants a new spine to his team in January and named Vlahovic, Skriniar, Stefan De Vrij and Franck Kessie as possible targets.

With the winter transfer window under a couple of months away from opening, Roberts believes that Conte will target Serie A players for Tottenham, telling This is Futbol: “So, Skriniar you would think one of those maybe, you would think Vlahovic from Fiorentina, you would think Chiesa, these sort of players. I’m sure Conte would have been talking to them.”

The Express reported during the summer that Tottenham had an interest in Fiorentina striker Vlahovic and were going to test the resolve of the Serie A outfit before the window closed but the Serbian international stayed with La Viola beyond the August 31 deadline.

Spurs did invest in their squad during the summer though, as they brought five new players in, as Cristian Romero, Pierluigi Gollini, Bryan Gil, Pape Matar Sarr and Emerson Royal all signed deals with the club.

After making a change in the dugout with Conte replacing Nuno Espirito Santo, you would imagine that everybody connected to Spurs will be hoping that they can put a good run of form together and be challenging for a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League and also silverware.
