Many Newcastle United fans have been reacting to the performance of Joelinton during their Premier League defeat to Arsenal the Premier League on Saturday.
Despite coming to the club for a record transfer fee in the summer of 2019 from German outfit Hoffenheim, the Brazilian forward hasn’t been able to live up to the price tag, only scoring eleven goals over the past three seasons up on Tyneside.
Despite his excellent performance and goal during Newcastle’s enthralling 3-3 defeat to Brentford at St. James Park last weekend in Eddie Howe’s first game in charge of the Toon, Joelinton was poor against Arsenal on Saturday, failing to pose any real threat to the Gunners defence.

After the defeat, this means Howe’s side are still the only team in the top four English divisions yet to pick up a victory this season but will be hoping to change this abysmal statistic when they take on relegation rivals Norwich City on Tuesday evening at St. James Park in the Premier League.
