Many Newcastle United fans have been reacting to the performance of Swedish ace Emil Krafth during their Premier League defeat to Arsenal the Premier League on Saturday.

The Magpies were beaten 2-0 by the Gunners as Howe took his place in the dugout for the first time after managing from the stands during Newcastle’s enthralling 3-3 defeat to Brentford at St. James Park last weekend.

However, Howe was unable to secure his and the Magpies’ first victory of the campaign, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli both scoring in the second half against the Magpies for the Gunners to condemn the Tyneside side to defeat.

One player who really struggled for Howe’s side at the Emirates on Saturday was full-back Emil Krafth, with the Swedish star struggling to cope with offensive threats Emile-Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Nuno Tavares, while also providing extremely little offensive threat from his right-back position for the Toon.

What did Newcastle fans have to say about Emil Krafth’s display against Arsenal?

“Emil Krafth is staggeringly bad. His first thought always seems to be how can I put my centre half under as much pressure as possible? Just before the 1st goal we did well to beat the press then he gets it in space and passes BACKWARDS. Clueless”

“Why Emil Krafth is still in that back line is beyond me. He should be miles off our starting 11”

“Emil Krafth is a fraud of a defender. How he gets a look-in shows how poor our squad is”

“Emil Krafth needs a new sport”

“Why do we actually start Emil Krafth over Manquillo”

“How is Emil Krafth a professional never mind international footballer the bloke is absolute pony”

Howe will be hoping that can put the defeat behind them when they take on relegation rivals Norwich City on Tuesday evening at St. James Park in what will be a huge clash for both sides in the Premier League.
