Lots of Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter after it was revealed former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo has edged closer to becoming Newcastle United’s new director of football.
According to Football Insider, Newcastle are finalising contract details with Emenalo as they close in on appointing him their director of football, following a breakthrough in talks.
The Magpies hope to follow up the appointment of Eddie Howe as manager by finalising a hugely ambitious move for Emenalo, who last week travelled to Saudi Arabia to speak to Newcastle’s new owners and has now firmly established himself their first choice for the director of football position.
