The Magpies were rocked last Friday to find out their new manager would not be in the dugout against Brentford after being forced to self-isolate, but just seven days on, he has satisfied the protocol required to travel down with the squad to London for their Premier League clash this weekend.

Newcastle will be hoping to pull off an unlikely result against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and could be boosted by the presence of their new manager, although he certainly has his work cut out given the Magpies have not won away to the Gunners since 2010.

Howe will know the huge task he has on his hands, with Newcastle still yet to win this season and five points from safety, although they do face Norwich City and Burnley in back-to-back games after the match against Arsenal on Saturday, so they may well be of bigger concern for the Magpies.
