A whole host of Newcastle United fans are livid on Twitter to find out Paul Dummett is still injured.

The Wales international is one of the better players to come through Newcastle’s academy in recent years as he’s racked up 201 appearances for the Magpies having played in the Premier League, Championship and Europa League.

Dummett has had a torrid time of it recently on Tyneside with injuries as he’s only started 28 games in the Premier League over the last two seasons and is yet to feature this campaign so it may not come as much of a surprise to see that he’s the only first-team player out injured.

A lot of Newcastle fans on Twitter are fuming to find out Dummett is still sidelined.

What have these Newcastle fans been saying?

He’s only played 31 games in 2 season probably our best defender but the lad just can’t stay fit and if probably let him go in the summer”

@Pooliemags1Ttv

“And it’s a massive loss still in my opinion.”

@jjNUFC

“A shame really I feel that our defence is much better with him in it.”

@iceman_9talk

“Time to release Dummet surely. He’s the defensive kieron Dyer, fit for 2 games a season”

@RealLeeAnderson

“Release Dummett. Guy is stealing a living. Plays twice a season”

@dan_thom

“Paul :(“

@Jack_Rogers97

The Magpies could use someone like Dummett in their side given their atrocious defensive record this season, they have conceded the second-most in the entire Premier League, but he may well be destined for an injury-plagued career, which is why these fans are seemingly upset.
