A whole host of Newcastle United fans are very happy on Twitter following this latest claim regarding Michael Emenalo.

The Magpies have an obvious uphill battle in the Premier League to avoid relegation given they’re winless and have a torrid fixture schedule over the festive period, so the January transfer window could be their best hope of reviving their season if they can attract players despite Premier League clubs reportedly adopting an ‘anyone but Newcastle‘ approach when it comes to selling players.

Will Howe succeed at Newcastle?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Newcastle’s new owners are looking to add more footballing people to the club and they’re reportedly looking at former Chelsea technical director Emenalo to fill the role of director of football on Tyneside with journalist Rudy Galetti claiming that there’s a good chance he could be in place by the time Newcastle welcome Brentford to St James’ Park on Saturday.

A lot of Newcastle fans are very excited on Twitter following this fresh Emenalo claim.

What have these Newcastle fans been saying?

Biggest signing since @alanshearer … This is HUGE!”

@StefanNUFC86

“This is great news. I do hope he comes to”

@magpie736

“This guy takes you from ordinary to extraordinary. I can’t stress just how big this appointment will be.”

@NUFC_Oscar86_

“Quality this”

@RyanMoseleynufc

“Sounds good let’s wait and see be a dream job with all the money available think they be plenty of takers for that job”

@ste71

Yesssss wow what a signing this is man”

@Gaz73920252

“WE ARE THE FUTURE.”

@Kevin80522517

Emenalo would seemingly be a great appointment for the club given how these Newcastle fans have reacted and that could well be down to the work he did at Stamford Bridge and the role he played in signing players such as Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante.

If Newcastle are to become serious competitors on the pitch and in the transfer market they need a competent director of football to help aide Eddie Howe in recruitment and persuading the best players to relocate to the north of England.
