A lot of Leeds United fans on Twitter are furious with Andrea Radrizzani’s latest comments.
Last season was a magical one for Leeds and their fanbase as their first season back in the Premier League for 16 years saw them finish ninth and pick up memorable points against the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Therefore, after adding players such as Junior Firpo and Daniel James to their squad, many may have expected them to kick on or at the very least solidify a top-half spot, but 10 games into the season, they’re just three points off the bottom three.
However, this has not stopped chairman Radrizzani from talking up the club and looking to the future as at the Web Summit in Lisbon, he wants the club to fight for a place in the top six next season.
Many Leeds fans are very angry on Twitter with Radrizzani’s comments given the precarious position the club finds itself in at the minute.

“Really doesn’t help himself with those type of comments…”
“It’s frustrating that he’s continuing this narrative. I admire his optimism and ambition but it’s misguided at the current time. We aren’t even close yet. This season has proved that. Someone at the club needs to tell him to stop fuelling this fire he’s creating”
“In a relegation scrap and this weapon is touting the club around for 400m and saying he wants us to fight for the top 6. He’s only in this for one person’s benefit and he’s putting the bare minimum in to maximize his profits. Absolutely mugging the fans off”
“He’s so annoying. Stop waffling man, we got a relegation battle on our hands and he’s still talking bout europe”
“We are so far away from Europe its mental how he doesn’t see it is embarrassing”
“It would help if he actually invested in players we needed”
“Completely baffles me why he comes out with “top 6” ambition next season statements when we’ve played like a championship side all season so far. Unless he’s gonna chuck 100s of millions into the squad next summer (he won’t) we’re miles off that.”
Despite what these Leeds fans are saying, Radrizzani has certainly splashed the cash since bringing the club back into the top flight as he handed Marcelo Bielsa a £95 million budget last summer and then spent a further £53 million this time around, though given their exploits so far this season, you can see why his hopes of European football seem a little ambitious.
