Content producer KageyVision has claimed that Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich should be dropped in favour of Adam Forshaw.

All in all, it’s not been a perfect start to the season for Marcelo Bielsa and co. Indeed, after 10 league games, they have just won twice.

However, one positive has been the return of Forshaw to first-team action. A number of significant fitness issues prevented the 30-year-old from playing a single senior game last season.

To this point in the current campaign, however, he has managed five appearances under Bielsa. And while fellow midfielder Klich struggles for form (in the opinion of KageyVision), Forshaw should now start ahead of the Polish international.

Indeed, while taking on the One Leeds Fan Channel, the podcaster stated that ‘it’s just not happening’ for Klich at the moment and he should therefore be dropped.

Should Adam Forshaw start over Mateusz Klich?

Speaking alongside Leeds journalist Conor McGilligan, he said: “I will say, Forshaw, right now is giving us a bit more than Klich, because when Klich’s on the pitch, it’s like there’s no one there.

“And I’m really sorry to say that, because I love Mateusz Klich.

“I really love the guy, I love his personality and everything else. But this isn’t a sentimental business for me. This is my club.

“And right now, it’s just not happening for him. So at this moment, if we can get something more out of Forshaw, right now, then yeah, it’s got to be him over Klich.”

TIF Thoughts on Mateusz Klich, Adam Forshaw and Leeds United…

Klich was on the bench for the club’s most recent game, a fixture that saw Leeds beat Norwich City 2-1. Perhaps this decision signals Bielsa’s intention to keep the 31-year-old out of the team for a while.

Forshaw was also on the bench for the match, however, what could work in his favour is the fact that he was trusted to come on and help the Whites seal their victory.

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

Either way, considering the club’s inconsistent start to the current campaign, it would come as no surprise if Bielsa was to tinker around with his squad some more. This could perhaps open the door for Forshaw to come in and claim a regular spot ahead of Klich.
