Lots of Leeds United fans have flocked to some footage to emerge on Twitter following the U23s’ latest clash against Chelsea in the Premier League 2 on Friday.
Leeds fell short to the London side at Thorp Arch as Chelsea ran out comfortable 3-1 victors to see the Blues leapfrog Mark Jackson’s side in the Premier League 2 table.
Will Roberts make it at Leeds?
Yes
No
Tyler Roberts netted the only goal of the game for Jackson’s side, which came from the penalty spot as the Welshman halved the deficit after 41 minutes.
Leeds fans flocked to Twitter as footage of the goal was relayed and it was apparent they were not exactly impressed by the 22-year-old finding the back of the net.
What did these Leeds fans have to say?
“To be clear, this doesn’t count. PL and FA Cup only. “
Roberts was included in the Wales squad for the latest international break, however, he only played a total of 14 minutes across the two games against Belarus and Belgium (via Transfermarkt).
These fans were clearly far from pleased with Roberts’ goal for the U23s and that may be because he is yet to score for Marcelo Bielsa’s senior side despite making 14 appearances this season.
