Leeds United fans have been reacting to claims surrounding a move for Spain international Isco.

According to a report in The Sunday People (21/11, page 57, print edition), Leeds are one of two Premier League sides that have been ‘sounded out’ over a potential move for the 29-year-old, with the report claiming that ‘Isco has a contract until June and Real Madrid hope to claw back around £3-4million, rather than lose him for free’.

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

The midfielder has put up 52 goals and 56 assists during his spell in Madrid, helping them win a bundle of trophies during that time, but has also had his fair share of injuries that might have played a part in him not being able to develop further.

But when the news was picked up by MOT Leeds News and then relayed to fans by Leeds Insider on Facebook, there weren’t too many fans that were happy with the idea of him signing, and it seemed like there were a multitude of reasons for them to choose from, including some taking issues with his reported £210k-per-week wages:

Whilst he might be a bit expensive and injury-prone, given where Leeds United are in the table sitting just above the relegation zone, they really could use all the help that they could get, and if he comes in and plays a part in keeping them up, then you could argue he’d be worth every penny for them.
