Leeds United fans have been reacting to comments made about the future of the club and Andrea Radrizzani following recent news.
The club recently had something of a minor power shift when 49ers Enterprises increased their minority share to 44% of the club, a long way from their initial 15% investment in the club when they first took an interest back in 2018.
And whilst Radrizzani still holds the majority of shares in the club, writing in an article for The Yorkshire Evening Post, journalist Graham Smyth doesn’t think that will be the case for much longer, as he notes “Radrizzani’s partners appear content to tuck their feet a little further under the table quietly, but it does feel like their involvement is only leading towards one thing – full control.”
His comments were relayed by MOT Leeds News and then Leeds Insider on Facebook for fans to discuss the future of the club, where it generated some interesting comments from fans about the potential new majority owners as well as the man currently in the post:
Are you worried about Radrizzani leaving?
No, he won't leave yet
Yes, he could go
It certainly does look like the change will happen at some point, and given the vast wealth difference between the two with Radrizzani being reported in 2020 to be worth £450m, whereas the York family, who own 90% of the 49ers are worth a reported $4bn (£3bn), it does seem like they might be able to help push the club further forward.
