Leeds United fans have been reacting to news surrounding Patrick Bamford following Marcelo Bielsa’s press conference.

The England international was a crucial part of Leeds United’s success last year. Despite having a few doubters when it came to his abilities in the Premier League, he silenced the critics by scoring 17 goals and chipping in with eight assists as Leeds secured a top-half finish before securing an England spot during the first international break this season.

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

However, this season has been a different story, as he has been out for some time with an ankle injury, and speaking during his press conference today, Leeds boss Bielsa hinted that he will be out a little while longer and that there was ‘still no timeframe’ for his return, according to Adam Pope).

The news did not go down well with Leeds United fans as they expressed their concern when they saw it flash across their timelines:

“When will it end”

“I’m getting a bit concerned regarding paddy, the talk was 2 or 3 games at 1st. Hopefully Rodrigo can extend his mini run to 3 in 3.”
“Oh my word, he’s been Forshawed”
“Sounds like Paddy will not kick another ball unless they find out the root problem of his ankle. No joy yet from the experts. Very worrying times. A new signing can’t just adapt to our methods remember”
“Koch to be expected but Bamford and Ayling I have legitimate concerns we won’t see til the new year”
“Exactly what is the issue with Bamford? Thought it was a knock?”
“Properly worried about Bamford’s injury now”

Have Leeds become over-reliant on Bamford?

You can certainly understand the concern here given that Leeds have only managed to win two games so far this season in the league and currently sit just one place and three points above the drop zone, so Bamford’s goals could prove crucial in pushing them further up the table.
