Many Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react to the display of Pascal Struijk in Marcelo Bielsa side’s 1-1 draw against Leicester City at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.

The Whites took the lead thanks to Raphinha’s first-half effort, before Harvey Barnes equalised almost immediately for the away side.

One player who, according to fans at home, produced¬† a strong performance against the Foxes was midfielder Pascal Struijk. The versatile 22 year old, lining up at left-back for Bielsa’s side, coped well with Leicester’s attacking threats throughout, particularly nullifying the threat of Foxes forward Ademola Lookman on Sunday afternoon.

And that has led to a number of Whites fans taking to Twitter to discuss his performance.

Will Leeds look to strengthen their midfield in January?

What did Leeds fans say about Struijk’s performance vs Leicester City?

“4 or 5 of them have turned their form around. Harrison and Dallas in particular look back to some of their best form. Threat from both wings makes a difference. Struijk excellent very solid also.”

“…..I think Dallas has been very good, dynamic. Struijk has done a good job, even if he isn’t a LB!”

“Struijk has been quality”

“Struijk glued to Lookman’s every touch – he’s been so alert and he needs to be with the Leicester man’s pace. Commanding without being reckless. Centre-back, defensive midfield and now left-back. This would be a superb spectacle if Leeds were a little higher in the table.”

“Apart from conceding, that was an all round good performance. Forshaw doesn’t half steady the ship, enjoying his performance so far. Struijk is becoming the new Stuart Dallas and can play anywhere. Raphinha is a man possessed”

“Very impressed with Struijk today, again. Forshaw looks good in build up but needs to keep tight to his man when defending. No changes needed so far but Leicester will come out with a plan 2nd half so need to be prepared”
“Forshaw was absolutely brilliant today, Dallas looked back to his best and Struijk is fast becoming one of my favourite players to watch! Rapha! Well what can you say the lad is just majestic had that Castagne on toast with a side of Soynucu”
“Forshaw back in the fold 3 unbeaten following Southampton Struijk marauding like Cruyff Our bench vs theirs Unlucky not to win More proof tonight that, without a shadow of doubt, Bielsa is operating on another stratosphere to any other manager”

The Yorkshire outfit will now be looking to return to winning ways when they take on Antonio’s Conte’s Tottenham side at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in their next outing in the league on Sunday 21st November after the upcoming international break.
