Many Leeds fans have been waxing lyrical over Illan Meslier, who has been Marcelo Bielsa’s first-choice No 1 at Elland Road since the 2019-20 campaign, following a stat that has emerged regarding the Frenchman’s international displays.
Twitter page @LUFCDATA revealed that Meslier has now kept four consecutive clean sheets for France U21s following their latest win over North Macedonia, with the goalkeeper now keeping five clean sheets in the seven Les Bleus appearances since his debut in May 2021 for Sylvain Ripoll’s side.
