Leeds United fans have been reacting to comments made by former Premier League forward Kevin Campbell regarding Pascal Struijk and Junior Firpo.

Firpo has been out of action for some time now through injury, with his last appearance for Leeds coming back at the start of October.

Speaking during his press conference ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, Marcelo Bielsa did hint that the 25-year-old would be available for selection, stating: “Junior is evolving, he’s healthy, all he needs is minutes now.”

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

In an interview with Football Insider before Bielsa’s comments emerged, Campbell hinted that Firpo could be about to come back into the lineup, with Struijk the unlucky man to lose out as a result.

He said: “Yeah, I expect him to come straight back into the starting XI, 100 per cent. Junior Firpo has done just okay when he’s played, to be honest. Pascal Struijk is one of those very versatile players who can play a lot of roles – but I do think Firpo will come back into that side.”

These comments were relayed to fans via the Leeds Insider Facebook page, where it generated a number of interesting responses from the supporters:

Obviously, Bielsa will have the final say on the matter, but it will be interesting to see if Firpo is put straight back into the side now that he appears to be back from his injury.
