And Leeds fans flocked to Twitter to share their delight at the images to emerge of their top scorer from last season back in action as he looks to make his comeback.

What did these Leeds United fans have to say about Patrick Bamford?

“Prayers answered”

“Things you love to see”
“Not gonna lie, I needed this today”
“The league ain’t ready.”

Bamford had made a slow start to the new campaign, with just one goal in the opening five games of the 2021/22 Premier League season (via Transfermarkt).

The Whites find themselves in a tricky spot in the league and injuries have certainly been an issue, so seeing their main striker on his way back is understandably a huge boost for these fans.
