A number of Leeds United fans have found themselves rather impressed after watching some footage of defender Pascal Struijk.

In their most recent Premier League outing, Marcelo Bielsa’s men claimed an important 2-1 win over Norwich City. Goals from Raphinha and Rodrigo were enough to see Leeds edge all three points on the day.

However, one thing that came to light after the match was the quality of Struijk’s passing throughout the game. Wanting to highlight his performance, the club’s official Twitter account released a clip of some of his best moments on the ball against the Canaries.

Should Pascal Struijk play in defense or midfield?

The video was soon viewed by a collection of United supporters and they were evidently happy with what they had seen.

Here’s what these Leeds fans said…

“Honestly that pass was unreal! KP did something similar earlier this season and the Leeds world lots its mind. Let’s do the same for Pascal, thought he was excellent yesterday!”
“He’s similar but Better than Rio Ferdinand.”
“The lad is growing into this level just fine. A class act and I think this boy could become huge.”
“Pure silk.”
“That first pass is absolutely ridiculous.”
“Pascal becoming a better midfielder than Kalvin.”

Still just 22 years of age, Struijk’s potential is evident for all to see. Bielsa has certainly placed his faith in the youngster, too – last season he played 27 times in the league, while this term, he has featured in eight of 10 possible outings.

Who was Bielsa's first competitive game as Leeds manager against?

While he has spent the bulk of his games as a centre-back, he has been used as a defensive midfielder, too. With Struijk’s passing quality on display in this match, it will interesting to see if Bielsa keeps him in defence or asks him to push forward as he continues his development at the club.
