Former Leeds United midfielder David Norris is a fan of Rodrigo and believes that he is a very unselfish player.

Leeds completed the signing of Rodrigo from Valencia in August 2020 for £26million according to BBC Sport, with the forward putting pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at Elland Road.

Since arriving at Elland Road, he has shown his versatility, with Marcelo Bielsa using him as a No.9, second striker and attacking midfielder.

During his first campaign with Leeds, the 30 year-old scored seven goals and provided two assists in the Premier League and Norris is a big fan of him.

“I think he’s done well. I like him because he’s a very unselfish player and I like that, especially with forward line players. They can be a bit selfish, a bit about themselves, but he’s unselfish and is a great team player and I like to see that. I like seeing that about Bamford when they’re chasing back and doing a bit for their team. He’s got a good presence about him and work rate,” Norris told This is Futbol.

Leeds haven’t found it easy in the early part of this campaign but got back to winning ways in the Premier League last weekend as they beat Norwich City 2-1, thanks to goals from Raphinha and Rodrigo.

The Spain international seems to have found some form in front of goal, as his winner against Norwich was his second consecutive goal for the Whites, as he scored in the club’s 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers also.
