A collection of West Bromwich Albion fans have been left rather upset after hearing that Robert Snodgrass is surplus to requirements at their club.
Indeed, as reported by journalist Alan Nixon, manager Valerien Ismael supposedly has no use for the 34-year-old in his squad and so Snodgrass will be allowed to leave if an offer comes in for him in January.
This news comes after the former Scotland international was left out of some recent matchday squads for the Baggies. When quizzed about that, the manager told BirminghamLive: “I picked the squad, as usual.
“I take the decision, the final decision, and this is the situation at the minute. There is nothing more to say about the situation.”
Here’s what these West Brom fans said about the Snodgrass news…
“Losing a Massive character in the dressing room, because he doesn’t agree with Val Ball. #IsmaelOut.”
It’s safe to say many of these fans would rather see the manager leave as opposed to Snodgrass. You can understand their point of view too, with the Baggies winning just one of their last six Championship fixtures.
Should West Brom sell Robert Snodgrass?
Yes
No
As a consequence of these results, Ismael’s men are currently eight points adrift from the automatic promotion places after 20 games have been played.
Clearly, however, the manager does not believe Snodgrass can help him close that gap.
