West Bromwich Albion fans have been reacting to transfer claims surrounding youngster Quevin Castro.
According to a report from Suffolk News, despite predominantly featuring for the club’s academy side and only making one senior appearance during their EFL Cup drubbing by Arsenal back in August, there are a number of top European sides that have started to take an interest in him, including the likes of Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Braga and PSV Eindhoven.
The report states that it was the game against Arsenal that forced the clubs to take notice – a game in which he completed 74% of his passes, made one key pass and was able to win one aerial duel (via WhoScored).
The news of the interest was relayed to fans by @TheBaggiesPod for them to react to, where it sparked something of a debate about what his future holds and what the club should do with him, with some baffled that a player who is being touted by these big clubs can’t seem to get a game for them in the Championship:
“And yet we start Livermore every game”
Have you been impressed with West Brom this season?
Yes
No
Maybe this spark in attention is just what’s needed for him to get some more minutes for the team. The more he plays and develops might force the price to go up, which could start a bidding war and help bring some extra funds to the Baggies.
