A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have been left extremely upset after learning about some changes in the club’s upcoming fixture list.

The club’s website recently announced that the Baggies’ away matches against Barnsley and Derby County have been rescheduled as they will now be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

What’s more, due to this change, two home games across the same period in December and early January against Preston North End and Cardiff City will be played a day later than originally planned.

Details of the fixture changes were shared online and they drew a fairly angered response by many frustrated supporters.

Here’s what these West Brom fans had to say…

“Shocking and disgraceful, no consideration for the fans whatsoever.”

“So we lose traditional Boxing Day fixture and another Friday night game the lack of thought given to the fans is shocking but not surprising!”
“So fed up of this.”
“It’s all just a joke now, Monday, Thursday, Sunday because of moved fixtures, nice one Sky. Boxing Day and New Year’s Day games mean something to people who have family traditions, it all just goes out the window for money these days.
“All 4 games moved. I can’t go to Barnsley now. And the Cardiff move has ruined my New Year plans. Absolutely spiffing.”
“This is ridiculous.”

Considering these changes have been made as late as November, it’s easy to understand the frustrated comments offered up online by the club’s supporters.

Holidays may have been planned around the previous fixture list – which could include money spent on travel and accommodation – so this news may come as a big blow to the West Brom fans who hoped to see their side play over the Christmas period.
