A number of Sheffield United fans have reacted positively online after seeing footage of their coaching staff celebrating a goal.
Earlier in the month, the Blades decided to part ways with former boss Slavisa Jokanovic less than six months into a three-year contract. In his place, Paul Heckingbottom was handed a long-term deal at Bramall Lane.
Things got off to a great start for the new man in charge over the weekend, with United claiming a 2-0 home win over Bristol City thanks to goals from Rhian Brewster and Billy Sharp.
Following the win, the club’s official Twitter page shared footage of a passionate Heckingbottom celebrating the second goal of the game – in the heavy snow – with coaching staff Stuart McCall and Jack Lester.
After seeing the clip emerge online, many Blades fans were happily enjoying the content.
Here’s what these Sheffield United fans said…
“That’s what our club needs. someone who is passionate, Slav has a great CV but wasn’t right for our club.”
Judging from the supporter’s reactions, the contrast in styles between the former and current manager is something already being enjoyed.
Could Paul Heckingbottom become permanent Blades manager?
Yes
No
Of course, it will take more than ‘passion’ to get United challenging for a place in the Premier League again. And with the Blades sitting six points off the play-off places, a lot of work needs to be done.
Still, the recent win was a good place to start.
