A whole host of Sheffield United fans on Twitter have urged their club to sell Lys Mousset following reports clubs are interested in him.

Mousset was a £10m signing during the club’s two-season stint in the Premier League, but the striker has only gone on to score nine league goals for the club while spending 102 days on the sidelines due to various injuries and fitness issues.

The French striker has found himself back in the fold at Bramall Lane of late under Slavisa Jokanovic and has netted three times in his last five Championship appearances, but his stay in England could soon be coming to an end, with Besiktas looking to swoop for the striker, according to Turkish outlet Fotomac.

A lot of Blades fans on Twitter want their club to sell Mousset if an offer comes in for him.

What have these Sheffield United fans been saying?

“If it’s anywhere near half what we paid for him get rid. I love him and he’s class but he’s a constant gamble. Be a very good way of starting to shift our ‘deadwood’ sort of players”

@jpsufc1

“I’m free to take him to the airport”

@jofmar1

“Give him chance at keeping a run in the team, if he bags a few. Keep him. If he continues with injury issues, no brainer he goes. But also, won’t have much interest if he doesn’t keep his fitness”

@BladesAnalysis

“Cash in all day long! If Besiktas are offering an actual transfer fee for him, it’s simply something we have to look very seriously at.”

@FreddyTheFud

“Cash in ASAP!”

@Hallowes_Blade

“Like he’s gonna pass a medical for a transfer. Get rid, wasted talent with an embarrassing fitness record.”

@Piddie74

“Cash in he’s a waste of space”

@philcookson1889

“Get that money and run.”

An easy one to kick off our quiz on the 2020 summer transfer window in the EFL, which player left Birmingham City to join Borussia Dortmund?

Given the sheer depth Jokanovic has at his disposal in the striker department, it would potentially be a sensible move to shift Mousset while they can receive a transfer fee for him and improve the squad in other areas to try and turn around their season and prepare for a late play-off push.
