A whole host of Sheffield United fans are furious on Twitter to find out this latest Prince Abdullah claim.
There had been some suggestions from a report by The Athletic that Prince Abdullah may be looking to sell Sheffield United as he may have ‘overstretched’ his ability to spend and run the Championship club.
Should Jebbison leave Sheffield United?
Although some fans may have gotten excited over this initial claim, Nathan Hemmingham has now revealed that these claims are wide of the mark and instead, Prince Abdullah is just looking for external investors instead of actually leaving and selling the club.
A lot of Sheffield United fans have been left very annoyed on Twitter with this latest claim.
What have these Blades fans been saying?
“He had no funds to buy the club outright as dictated by the court decision in 2019. He’s taken those funds from the (affected) Premier Lg money & made it impossible for the best manager we’ve had in years to keep us there, nor fund the new manager adequately to get us back.”
“Bye ruined my hopes”
“Tinpot. Thought this guy was the real deal. Shambles.”
“League 1 here we come baby”
“It really is the return of the banter years. Get in United”
“Kevin McCabe interested”
It should come as no surprise that the club’s owner is looking for people to offer external investment given that Sheffield United failed to bring in any players over the summer that demanded a transfer fee despite just being relegated from the Premier League, so they should’ve had parachute payment money to rebuild their squad.
