Queens Park Rangers fans have been reacting to the performance of Lee Wallace during their recent game in the Championship.
Football returned for Mark Warburton’s men following the international break, as they took on a Luton Town side who have made an impressive start to the season, as they sat just two points behind sixth-placed QPR heading into the game.
QPR came into the game off the back of a reasonable run of form in the league having been unbeaten in their last three, and they were able to keep that going against the Hatters as they ran out 2-0 winners.
One player who played a big part in helping them win the game was 34-year-old defender Wallace, who was making his first appearance since August having been out through injury, where he put in an incredible effort both in attack and defence, completing 88% of his passes, making one interception, and winning 100% of both his tackles and aerial duels (via WhoScored).
The fans were delighted to see him back on the pitch and they were full of praise for him on social media:
“The difference Lee Wallace is making is so so apparent”
Will QPR gain promotion this season?
Yes
No
Having put in a performance like that in his first game back, it sounds like it might be pretty hard for someone to come and take his place away from him.
