A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to the latest transfer claim to emerge on Twitter regarding the future of Dele Alli.

According to The Athletic, Spurs are now ‘more accepting’ of the idea to allow the 25-year-old to move on during the summer with the Lilywhites open to offers for his services.

What should Spurs do with Dele?

This news comes after Tottenham’s Carabao Cup clash against Burnley on Wednesday night in which the Englishman, along with Harry Winks, was omitted from Nuno Espirito Santo’s matchday squad.

Spurs fans flooded to Twitter as Charlie Eccleshare’s report on the midfielder was relayed as they shared their joy at the idea of the midfielder being sold in the upcoming transfer window.

What did these fans have to say?

“Took this long for the penny to drop”

“OMHGGG FINALLY”
“Levy finally realised he’s washed”
“SIUUUUUUU”
“It’s time.”
“End of an era but it’s really overdue”
“WE ARE FINALLY FREE”

The former PFA Young Player of the Year has had a difficult few seasons with the Lilywhites which has seen his goals return decline considerably.

Over the course of his last five Premier League seasons, Dele has scored five less (23) than he did in his first two top-flight campaigns (28) with the Lilywhites (via Transfermarkt).

With the midfielder having not featured in any of the last three Premier League games either, it seems these Spurs fans would be open to the idea of Daniel Levy moving him on in the January window.

It’s Levy we need to get rid of first, so many of our problems will be solved by just getting rid Of Levy, Lewis and ENIC, then we need to change up the playing staff. There can’t be one supporter that doesn’t agree that 20 years of failure by Levy and ENIC is way too long, no one should be given that kind of time to prove they can’t do the job. It’s time they LEFT. Levy, Lewis and ENIC OUT !!!
