Lots of Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to share their delight at Graeme Jones’ latest injury update ahead of their Premier League clash against Chelsea on Saturday.

The 51-year-old will take charge of his second game as the interim manager on Tyneside following the sacking of Steve Bruce last week as they welcome the league leaders to St. James’ Park.

Speaking on Friday in his pre-game press conference, revealed apart from Paul Dummett and Elliot Anderson he has a fully fit squad to select from for the game against Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Discussing the 32-year-old goalkeeper’s fitness, Jones said: “He’s fit & available. Had a good 10/12 days work – but he hasn’t played a game yet. He is a top goalkeeper but he has to get to that level.”

Newcastle fans flocked to Twitter to share their absolute joy at the news their first-choice goalkeeper is in contention to face a Chelsea side fresh from putting seven goals past Norwich City last weekend.

What did these fans have to say?

“dubravka back”

“BIG MARTIN DUBRAVKA IS BACK BABYYYYY”
“SUIIIIII”
“Win incoming”
“dubravka masterclass incoming”
“Massive DUB”
Okay so that is actually good news! Also any other #NUFC fan absolutely praying for Dummett to be back? There is a reason Palace favoured attacking our left. Ritchie just isn’t good enough up against it.”

The Slovakian goalkeeper has had a summer to forget having suffered a foot injury whilst representing his country in the Euros which has forced him to miss the opening nine league games of the season.

However, having returned back to training in September it seems the 32-year-old is in contention to make his return to action on Saturday and these fans were absolutely delighted at the news.
