Previewing Leeds United’s Premier League clash against Norwich City on Sunday, Conor McGilligan has been speaking on the TalkNorwichCity YouTube channel

Marcelo Bielsa’s men travel south as they return their focus back to Premier League action following their Carabao Cup defeat against Arsenal on Tuesday.

Will Raphinha leave Leeds in the summer?

No

The Whites are expected to be boosted by the return of Raphinha who was taken off in last weekend’s draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers after a clumsy challenge from Romain Saiss.

However, question marks remain over the Brazilian’s long-term future in Yorkshire after comments from his agent have recently emerged regarding transfer interest from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

The 24-year-old only signed for the Whites last year after leaving Rennes for a fee in the region of £16.74m, however, McGilligan did not provide much optimism when asked if he thinks the star will leave in the near future, he replied:.

(19:30) “No, I’m going to go with no in January. So I don’t think there’s a lot of big bucks spent in January anyway. But the summer 100% he’s going, we’re not keeping hold of him 100%. It’s 100%. We could finish 10th and it’s not good enough for him because he’s a top two/three player in any league.”

TIF Thoughts on Raphinha’s development…

We completely understand the reported interest from Liverpool in the Leeds wingerr given the start to the new campaign he has made.

Raphinha found the back of the net six times in his 30 Premier League appearances last season and in just eight league appearances this season, the 24-year-old has already netted three times (via Transfermarkt).

On top of his impressive domestic form, the Brazilian has also demonstrated his ability on the international level with some recent appearances for his nation catching the eyes of those watching.

Two goals and two assists for the Leeds ace in just 144 minutes of action for Brazil has shown the winger has the ability to play on a multiple of different stages.
