Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to the performance of Florian Kamberi during their game against Mansfield Town in the Papa John’s Trophy.
Following their relegation from the Championship last season, playing in League One provides the Owls with another piece of silverware to fight for in the form of the Papa John’s Trophy, and they had already got off to a good start in the competition having defeated a young Newcastle United side 3-0 in their opening group game.
Although, they came into their latest clash off the back of a 2-1 loss at home to Oxford United.
And it appeared as though some of that bad form carried over into the game last night, with the 26-year-old coming in for a raft of criticism for his performance from supporters online:
“Marvin Johnson and Florian Kamberi. Up there with Zigor Arnolde and Jacob Murphy in worst two to put Wednesday shirt on”
Will Sheffield Wednesday get promoted this season?
Yes
No
Kamberi would go on to score the winner late in the game, but given he’s been a fringe player so far this season having only made two league starts, it will be interesting to see whether or not Darren Moore will focus on his overall performance or just his late winner when deciding whether or not he should be given more playing time moving forward.
