A score of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react to the official team news ahead of the Bhoys’ 3pm clash with Motherwell in the SPFL.

Summer signings Carl Starfelt and Cameron Carter-Vickers have enjoyed a budding partnership in recent games and keep their spot ahead of Joe Hart in goal.

Anthony Ralston and surprise starter Boli Bolingoli accompany the defensive set-up on the flanks, with Josip Juranovic continuing to be injured.

In the heart of midfield, captain Callum McGregor returns with Tom Rogic and David Turnbull supporting the Celtic skipper.

Up top, Kyogo Furuhashi continues to keep his spot, flanked by summer signings Liel Abada and Jota.

Fans were enamoured with the line-up and were optimistic ahead of their home clash as they flocked to Twitter to respond to the club’s official team release.

What have some Celtic fans been saying in response?

“BOLINGOLI HALLELUJAH”

@TheRyanMcGinlay

“Mccarthy bombed altogether”

@Petermacdonald5

“I mean Boli and the Rogic/Turnbull partnership that doesn’t work is some hill to gamble your job on. Doesn’t help himself.”

@Itswayoverthere

“Don’t mind the Boli selection but Rogic/Turnbull is a headscratcher, can his assistants not point out to him that Fir Park is a midfield battleground and selecting Turnbull, when we need fighters, is suicidal “

@AMCG1888

“I’m not keen on the Rogic/Turnbull partnership myself but to say Turnbull isn’t capable of playing at Fir Park is ridiculous. He was their best player before joining Celtic..”

@KP33367

“free scales”

@erinm7x

“Embarrassing back 4”

@craig_canavan

Having won away at Aberdeen for the first time since February, Ange Postecoglou knows his side need to keep momentum up if they are to avoid losing ground to Rangers in the table.

Motherwell represents an opportunity to do just that, and fans generally appear to be energised and optimistic after the line-up has come in.
