Many Celtic fans have responded well after Liel Abada has some very kind things to say about the atmosphere at Celtic Park.
Having signed from Maccabi Petah Tikva in the summer, the 20-year-old, who is now valued at £2.7 million (as per Transfermarkt), has made a fairly impressive start to life in Scotland – claiming six goals and a further four assists in his first 15 appearances for the club.
Could Liel Abada make it at Liverpool one day?
Yes
No
Off the field, it now seems as if the winger has endeared himself even more to his new fans after speaking in glowing terms about the support he feels while playing in the Bhoys’ home stadium.
When speaking to sport5.co.il (via Daily Record), he said: “Anyone who hasn’t been to Celtic Park does not understand what an atmosphere is. You do not understand what a shiver it gives. My song too, and when they shout You’ll Never Walk Alone. It’s hard for me to even explain in words.”
The quotes were shared on Twitter by fan page Everything Celtic and the club’s supporters were evidently happy to hear what had been said.
What did these Celtic fans say?
“Him and Kyogo understood the assignment.”
It certainly seems as though one way to earn the support of this crowd is to show plenty of respect to it, just as Abada has done here.
And this is not the first time the atmosphere of Celtic Park has drawn praise in recent times. Indeed, former German international Bastian Schweinsteiger had kind things to say about the Parkhead crowd not so long ago.
That too had many Celtic fans brimming with pride and it seems like a good recipe to earn the love of the home faithful.
