Express & Star journalist Luke Hatfield believes that Wolves are at a weird point with Adama Traore, where fans could be possibly open to him leaving!

Traore has started five of Wolves’ seven Premier League matches this season and has also made a further two appearances for the club in the Carabao Cup prior to the international break.

The 25-year-old has featured off both wings this term so far under Bruno Lage, but has yet to register a goal or assist for his club and Hatfield believes this is the stage where fans may be open to him leaving Molineux.

“I think we are at a weird point with Traore where fans will probably… you know a year or two ago they wouldn’t envisage him leaving. They’d say he’s such an important player but at the moment with his lack of end product and maybe being dropped from that XI, if a fee comes in which the club seems to deem suitable, maybe the fans could tend to agree with the club,” Hatfield told This is Futbol.

During his time at Molineux, Traore has featured in 140 games scoring ten goals and registering 18 assists and got the backing of his manager earlier in the season, as Lage told the club’s official website“It’s two situations. It’s not about just finishing, all of us talk about the finishing, but first he’s creating a lot of shots, a lot of chances, he is helping us in the defending and pressing, and, don’t forget the fouls the opponents do against him.”

During the summer Traore was linked with a move away from Wolves, with Football Insider reporting that Liverpool had registered an interest in the winger, but he stayed at Molineux beyond the August 31 deadline.
