Many Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react to a concerning pre-match stat ahead of their Premier League game against West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side started off the campaign with three successive 1-o victories, results that initially saw them leap to the table of the table.

Subsequently, it went rapidly downhill for the Lilywhites, losing their next three back-to-back, including conceding three goals in each game as well as losing the north London derby against Arsenal. However, Nuno’s side have managed to win their last two games, a narrow 2-1 win against Aston Villa and a convincing 3-2 victory against St. James Park last week, to rise to fifth place in the league.

However, ahead of today’s clash against the Hammers, the BBC (via The Spurs Web) revealed that Spurs have lost four successive Premier League London derbies, as many defeats as in their previous 17.

Was Nuno a good managerial appoinment?

And, after hearing about that, some Spurs fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts.

What did Spurs fans have to say about it?

“Nuno masterclass I’m confident”

@N17JACOB

“And it won’t change tomorrow with the hammers loving Paul Tierney in charge”

@Treborf67

“It’s stops from now. COYS!!!”

@SteveDay17

@moylesdermot2

“Nuno tax”

“Thanks for the friendly reminder lads”

Although Nuno’s side did lose their midweek Conference League clash to Vitesse Arnhem, the Portuguese will probably not be too concerned about it having fielded a second-tier side. The manager knows well that a victory over West Ham will send them into the top four on current standings, as they gear up for this epic London derby.

Additionally, considering Santo rested the 11-players for the midweek clash, the manager will have no excuses for fitness or rest issues. The team has to fire themselves into the top-four at all costs and ensure they do not lose a fifth successive London derby, although West Ham also has the same reward if they secure the three points at the London Stadium against Nuno’s side.
