A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have erupted on Twitter following Alasdair Gold’s latest post in which he talks about what players could leave in January.

Nuno Espirito Santo has come from a Wolves squad that was generally quite thin and easy to manage given the same players played most games, but at Spurs, he has players such as Ben Davies, Matt Doherty and Harry Winks who have hardly featured this campaign, despite being established Premier League players – racking up 220, 93 and 111 appearances in the competition respectively.

Who is to blame for Tottenham's shaky start to the season?

Gold has taken a more in-depth look at the Tottenham squad and plucked out seven players who could be looking for, or even benefit from, a move away when the January window comes around.

Some fans would like to see some of these players – which included the likes of Doherty and Winks – moved on, as well as others who did not make the list.

A lot of Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter to Gold’s latest post.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“Dele needs to go asap. So does Davies. Would rather gamble as Tanganga or Sessegnon as backup to Reguilon than play Davies at LB”

“Still don’t understand why Rodon isn’t at least the third centre half in the rankings, if not starting.”

@adamdnathan

“Winks Doherty Clarke sessegnon/Davies to leave please”

@thfcsxn

“If we let go of Rodon while Sanchez and Dier are still employed at this club, I don’t even know what to say anymore”

@Riab1994

“Work night and day to get Alli out the door in Jan”

@IndoorKiteFlyer

“Sell them all”

There are a few players who have struggled not only under Nuno, but also in previous seasons at Spurs, with the likes of Doherty, Jack Clarke and Winks all failing to impress enough regularly in any competition.

One of those is reportedly looking to leave in January and that’s Winks, who had interest in him over the summer, although he refused to leave and instead stayed with Spurs to fight for his place.

But after one start in the Premier League, that battle may already be up.
