Speaking on the latest edition of The View From The Lane podcast, Jack Pitt-Brooke has been talking about all things relating to Tottenham Hotspur.

One of the main talking points on the podcast was the upcoming transfer window in January and potential moves the north London club could look to make.

Do you expect Spurs to spend in January?

Yes

No

No

Over the summer, Spurs were linked with Adama Traore, but ultimately failed to secure the services of a creative playmaker, with Tanguy Ndombele remaining a Tottenham player despite speculation over his future.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have struggled in front of goal this season, with just six goals in the Premier League to show for in their seven games played.

Discussing the club’s plans ahead of the January transfer window, Pitt-Brooke had the following to say on what position Fabio Paratici will be focusing on.

“I think if you look at what Spurs are interested in this January – they’re looking for another attacking player, like a kind of goal threat in that front three, which I think suggests that the feeling in the club is that this is where they missed out the most.

“You know, they didn’t get Adama Traore and they could do with somebody else who scores goals in that frontline. I think it has to be a forward.”

TIF Thoughts on January for Spurs…

We feel Tottenham have been missing a creative spark in their midfield since they sold Christian Eriksen to Inter last January.

The Danish midfielder racked up 69 goals and 90 assists during his time at Spurs, and since arriving in north London, Giovani Lo Celso (13) and Tanguy Ndombele (17) have only been able to tally up 30 goals and assists between them.

Neither Ndombele nor Lo Celso has been able to secure any regular first-team football this season, with Ndombele missing time amidst his transfer speculation and Lo Celso through international duty.

Given Harry Kane is yet to get off the mark in the Premier League this season, we feel Fabio Paratici needs to be targetting a playmaker who can slot into the role Eriksen had at the club in creating big opportunities.

Do not believe a word that comes out of Paratici or Levy, Paratici is just Levy’s yes man who takes the heat off of him come the transfer windows. Levy hasn’t spent money in 20 years so why would he start now? the only way Levy will spend anywhere near what is needed is if he sells the likes of Harry Kane first. Levy and Lewis OUT !!

Having gone through most of these articles it’s very obvious that Paratici has been told by Levy to make it sound like we are going to have a fantastic window in January, this for the reason that Harry Kane is either leaving in the winter window of for sure next summer, there is absolutely no way on earth that Levy would spend this money without the knowledge that he was going to get it back through the sale of Kane and others. Mark my words, if there is a big spend in January Kane will be gone by next summer. 20 years of failure is way too long, could you imagine how long it would take Levy to sack a manager for failure, and he’s still here 20 years on. Levy and Lewis out NOW
