A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted with anger after seeing their club has been linked with Stoke City defender Harry Souttar.
According to Football Insider, Spurs are one of a few Premier League teams considering a move for the 22-year-old when the January transfer market opens – with Aston Villa also reported to be interested.
Should Spurs sign Harry Souttar?
Yes
No
The story adds that with plenty of centre-back options currently at the club, a sale would likely be needed before any transfer bid for Souttar could be made.
The Spurs Web shared the information on its Twitter page and it soon drew a frustrated response from many Tottenham supporters.
Here’s what these Spurs fans had to say…
“Another cheap option.”
Although the defender is yet to play at Premier League level, he does at least have some international pedigree having played for Australia on nine occasions and, incredibly, scoring six goals (via Transfermarkt).
It seems these supporters want the club to sign slightly more high-profile players, but if Souttar could make the step up to England’s top division, he could represent a bargain – depending, of course, on the potential future fee that would be paid.

Levy just trying to sign cheap championship players instead of world class players. Levy has zero ambition, that’s why we need to force Levy, Lewis and ENIC out of our club.
