Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their frustrations with the London club following the latest transfer claim to emerge.

According to StokeonTrentLive, it has emerged that the Lilywhites have shown an interest in Stoke City defender Harry Souttar, with David Pleat having attended a Potters game last season to watch the youngster.

A report from The Sun has claimed Premier League side Everton are also showing signs of interest in the centre-back with Duncan Ferguson keeping tabs on the Australian.

The 22-year-old has made 10 appearances for the Championship side in the league this season in which the Potters has only lost on two occasions (via Transfermarkt).

Spurs fans flocked to the tweet from The Spurs Express relaying the claims to emerge as they shared their concerns about potentially targetting the Championship defender.

What did these fans have to say?

“We are finished”

“anything to spend little money right ?”
“We keep buying championship players guess what… we’ll end up in the championship!”
“What for?????? We already got to many. Shld be scouting for a striker!!”
“In readiness for next season when we will be in the same division”
“Jack Clarke vibes”
“Another cheap unknown that will never make it”

Spurs secured the services of former Swansea City defender Joe Rodon in the summer of 2020, however, the Welshman has struggled to make an impact on the side with just 17 appearances to date (via Transfermarkt).

Despite reported interest from Premier League sides in the Australian defender, it seems Rodon’s tricky start to life in north London has had an impact on these Spurs fans.
