Tottenham fans have been reacting to news surrounding Ryan Sessegnon following comments by Nuno Espirito Santo.

Despite having a very promising future during his days at Fulham, with one of his teammates at the time describing him as ‘a phenomenon’, the 21-year-old hasn’t quite been able to live up to the hype that was placed upon him.

He’s only gone on to make 14 appearances for Spurs since his move in 2019, with a loan move to German side Hoffenheim not enough to convince the bosses at Spurs to give him a chance in North London, although it should be pointed out that injuries have also played their part in the matter.

And it looks as if injuries are popping up again for the young man, with head coach Nuno revealing ahead of their game with Burnley that he still hasn’t recovered from his latest knock, noting that “The only bad news that we have at this moment is Ryan Sessegnon – he’s not able to join us yet.”

This news was relayed by @LastWordOnSpurs on Twitter, where it was met with an exasperated response from the Spurs fans:

“Waste of money so far.”“You’re being too generous Jack. Take 5-10m and cut and run. Getting injuries that frequent at such a young age is a recipe for disaster. Paying for nothing. “

“Kid is a pathetic bust”
“Waste of £25mill”
“RS = sick note”
“This is a joke, when is he ever gonna be match fit”
“I thought this boy was going to be a great signing, disappointed is an understatement.”

Will Ryan Sessegnon ever come good for Spurs?

Hopefully he isn’t out for too much longer and is back to full fitness soon, because it would be a shame for someone with such promise to have his playing career ruined before it’s really had a chance to get started.
