A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flooded to Twitter as a claim emerged on Monday regarding the future of manager, Nuno Espirito Santo.

According to The Athletic journalist, the Portuguese manager’s two-year contract with the north London club has the option to terminate after just one year with no pay-off required.

The report states the clause in the 47-year-old’s contract would allow Spurs to bring his time in north London to an end if he was unable to guide the side to a top-six finish.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager has had a turbulent start to life with the N17 club as Spurs bounced back on the weekend after three consecutive league defeats.

Spurs fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the claim made by David Ornstein in his column on Monday morning with The Athletic.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Levy’s at it again”

“Good news”
“As harsh as it is, it’s good business”
“Good news for a Monday morning”
“Levy is a genius”
“Very very good made me happy made me smile”
Since Ornstein broke the news, he revealed a Tottenham spokesman has denied the claims, however, the journalist stated he stands by his information.

Despite being on the back of their latest win against Dean Smith’s Aston Villa, it seems these Spurs fans are already waiting on Espirito Santo to be let go by Daniel Levy.

  • Tony Borg says:

Levy is a parasite and only thinks about money, he doesn’t care a less about success, if success comes at a price then he’d rather not have it. 20 years of failure by Levy, he should have been sacked years ago. Lewis & Levy out!!!
