A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts on an update to emerge ahead of their next Premier League game against Newcastle United.

The Lilywhites return from the international break on 17th October with a trip to St. James’ Park which has now been confirmed by the Toon as a sell-out.

On Thursday, it was announced the Tyneside club’s time with Mike Ashley as their owner had come to an end, with the Saudi Arabian-based PIF consortium successfully purchasing the club.

And Spurs fans flocked to Twitter to share their concerns following the Toon’s announcement, with many feeling superstitious ahead of the clash on Tyneside.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“They are beating us 100%”

“This is Spursy They’re gonna be so up for it”
“We’re getting battered”

We lost.”

“We best batter them”

Spurs have only won one of their last four against the Magpies, with that victory coming at St. James’ Park back in July 2020 in a Harry Kane-led 3-1 victory.

Although Steve Bruce’s side are without a win in the league this season, it seems these Spurs fans are very cautious the takeover news at Newcastle may play a factor in the game next weekend with the club on such a high.
