No
The report states it is not only Spurs who are showing interest, with fellow Premier League side Aston Villa also said to be monitoring the forward.
Dean Smith’s side were linked with a potential move for the 21-year-old during the summer and it is reported the forward has a release clause of €25m (£21.2m).
Spurs fans flocked to the tweet from TranSPURS relaying the claim to emerge from Italy to share their delight with being linked to the young forward.
What did these fans have to say?
“Bring him in, and his head coach too”
Alvarez has made a bright start to the new campaign having found the back of the net seven times in his 11 league appearances, with a brace on the weekend against Boca Juniors, too (via Transfermarkt).
Having lost Carlos Vinicius over the course of the summer, it seems these fans would be delighted to see the Lilywhites add another striker to their squad, with Harry Kane the only senior striker currently in the side.
