Alasdair Gold has been speaking on his latest YouTube video about all things Tottenham Hotspur with the international break bringing a halt to Premier League.

The Lilywhites have seen four of their South American stars jet off on international duty this time around, with Emerson Royal, Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez all representing their nations.

Spurs experienced issues with their South American stars last month in the previous international break, with the latter trio being forced to miss two games due to the quarantine restrictions.

With the South Americans’ quarantine issues coinciding with Tottenham’s nosedive in form after the break, Gold was able to provide his understanding of what the rules are this time.

“So what happens now, if you’re not aware, players that have been to red-list countries on the international break can return.

“They must spend, I think it’s 10 days, they must remain within the club bubble. They can train, they can play matches, that’s absolutely fine now.

“However, they have to remain within that club bubble. I don’t even think they’re allowed to go back to their family, which for Spurs, is fine. They’ve got the lodge where they can stay, it’s a luxury hotel, they can stay there for 10 days without any problems.”

TIF Thoughts on the latest international break…

The previous international break was nothing short of disastrous for the north London side, with players missing through quarantine restrictions and respective injuries.

In addition, the previous break brought an abrupt end to Tottenham’s sensational start to the new campaign as three consecutive league defeats followed.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side had only just brought a halt to their horrendous Premier League form on Sunday with their 2-1 victory Aston Villa.

However, they will be hoping a clash against winless Newcastle United will allow them to pick back up from the Villa victory.
